He raises piles of money, but he spends it very, very fast in part because he has such a huge paid-staff. I don't want to get the numbers wrong, but it would be interesting to know how cost-effective his campaign organization is considering how Obama himself says that running a presidential campaign is his foremost executive experience and one of his major qualifications for being president.
It will be interesting to see if the money keep flowing in to Obama's campaign. I'm guessing that many people who support him would've given money already. Will they be willing to cough up some more cash?
On the other hand, Palin has generated a lot of new interest in the McCain campaign. Will people who have been holding back give the campaign an extra cash boost in these last two months?

That is one of the silliest things I've read this election year and I still can't believe Obama said that with a straight face.
Well, I'm sure there were some stutters.
I was flabbergasted when he accused the McCain campaign of questioning his patriotism by featuring McCain's military experience during the convention. Like they aren't allowed to talk about it or something.
By that logic, i'm qualified to be CEO of General Motors because I've spent a lot of time working on my elderly Chevrolet, right?
I've been managing two small dogs the last few years, with some pretty good results (only one of them died.) If you know of any presidential vacancies, I'm available to interview.

“I had to sign up for selective service when I graduated from High School. And I was growing up in Hawaii. And I have friends whose parents were in the military. There are a lot of Army, military bases there.I actually always thought of the military as an ennobling and you know, honorable option.”
[But] “I graduated in 1979. The Vietnam War had come to an end. We weren’t engaged in an active military conflict at that point. And so, it’s not an option that I ever decided to pursue.”
-----------
The United States abandoned the draft in 1973 under President Richard Nixon, ended the Selective Service registration requirement in 1975 under President Gerald Ford, and then re-instated the Selective Service registration requirement in 1980 under President Jimmy Carter.

I've got you beat. I manage at last count seven cats (DO NOT ASK. No, seriously, do NOT ask. thank heavens some of them are outdoors.) I am MORE than qualified to run the country.

My friend ETOF called me yesterday, "did you know that Palin banned 'To Kill A Mockingbird' from Alaska?!" I gently pointed him to Snopes.
#14 zorkmidden: and tomorrow he'll promptly forget the disproven rumor.
