So Sullivan has no problem with the candidate himself who spent 20 years as a member of a black nationalist anti-white, antisemitic, anti-American church who's noxious hate-spewing pastor was his closest spiritual mentor. But instead Hillary's the bad one for bringing it up.
It's too bad sully doesn't have a comments section on his useless blog. Because I would say to him why is it that you don't see a character problem with a man who associates with white-hating, America-hating antisemites and then lies about having any clue that he actually harbored these views although he has had a 20 year friendship with this guy and sat listening to his sermons most every Sunday.
I'd also like to know why are innocent children suffering and dying from diseases and yet this filthy pervert hasn't died of AIDS yet?
Maybe Frank but I think people have made up their minds one way or another about Pastor Wright. I think the impression will be as close to indelible as anything is these days...
At its very best, Iraq, it is now more than apparent, is a decades-long, bankrupting, utopian liberal attempt to build a democratic culture where no such culture has ever existed; and at worst, it is a corrupting, demoralizing cancer on America's reputation and power in the world. At home, the long term fiscal situation is at a crisis-level, with Republicans adding $32 trillion to future unfunded liabilities by the federal government in seven years, and with a commitment not to raise any more revenue for the indefinite future. Neither Obama nor Clinton has any plan to tackle this debt or to restrain entitlement spending in any serious way. Millions of private individuals have taken out idiotic mortgage loans on houses they cannot afford and should never have been reckless enough to buy. The dollar is headed into the toilet as much of the US economy is leveraged on the bona fides of a still-authoritarian regime that is currently brutally suppressing human rights in Tibet and across its territory.
Overly melodramatic tone notwithstanding, there's a lot to agree with here. Or at least seriously consider.

Oh lookee! The trackbacks are back, Jack!
When did that happen?
This is glorious Frank.
You need to do a smarmy Miss Sullington post *every day*!
It's your special purpose.
From another trackback to the same article:
What do you think, folks? Is this really a bigger story, or just wishful thinking on the part of the Obama fanatics?

I'm at least four years too late. :)
So is he an Obamaniac or a Paulette?
He makes excuses for Obama:and puts him down:in the same post. Talk about unbalanced.
Do you consider Hillary to be the Messiah, Laura?
Saith he who thought Giuliani was the Messiah. Garlic-nosed Eyetalian Messiah, that is.
Do you consider Hillary to be the Messiah, Laura?
Of course.
Er, what's the feminine of "Messiah"? "Mashiachah"?
The portion of Hillary supporters who would vote for McCain if Obama is nominated, is up to 28%. Wow.
*sigh*
franco, I thought we'd established this. It is Hillary.
Wow indeed. I guess there are limits to racial analysis.
I'm still giggling about the Greeks in Purim.
