Hillary Rodham Clinton opened a five-day campaign to target what her aides call Barack Obama’s inexperience, delivering sharper attacks against the Iowa winner that are likely to become more personal and negative, according to Democrats familiar with the evolving strategy.

“Of all the people running for president, I’ve been the most vetted, the most investigated, and — my goodness — the most innocent, it turns out,” she told a cheering crowd in an airport hangar.

Anyone besides Laura gullible enough to buy into that bullspit?
#2 evariste at 12:17 pm on Jan 04, 2008
Why's she running for President, anyway? Did she forget to steal some stuff she wants from the White House?
#3 Frank IBC at 12:18 pm on Jan 04, 2008
She's running because 20 years of the Bush-Clinton-Bush regime wasn't enough.
#4 solus rex at 12:18 pm on Jan 04, 2008
Retch.
Obama's finest speeches do not excite. They do not inform. They don't even really inspire.
Got that right, sport.
#5 Thousand Sons at 12:40 pm on Jan 04, 2008
Most innocent? Yeah, she's a regular Joan of Arc.

Sorry...I couldn't resist! :-)

And the Boomer regime, too. Obama is a Gen-X-er.

Stop giving me reasons to consider him.

All U.S. presidents since 1989 have been Yale graduates, namely George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton (who attended the University's Law School along with his wife, New York Senator Hillary Clinton), and George W. Bush. Vice President Dick Cheney attended Yale, although he did not graduate. Many of the 2004 presidential candidates attended Yale: Bush, John Kerry, Howard Dean, and Joe Lieberman.

Other Yale-educated presidents were William Howard Taft (B.A.) and Gerald Ford (LL.B). Alumni also include several Supreme Court justices, including current Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.
#10 Jourdan at 2:20 pm on Jan 04, 2008
Oh, yeah, just the thought of passing over the f'ing Boomers and leaving them behind in this regard is enough to make one consider Obama.

That's not to say I like Obama, but to illustrate how much I goddamn hate Boomers.
#11 Frank IBC at 2:28 pm on Jan 04, 2008
"The Greatest Generation" ruled from 1961 through 1993, 32 years.

The Boomers' reign could be cut short at only 16.

HEY! Would you not vote for me? I'm a Gen Xer, too!

Oh God. Obama and I share a generation? I feel so freaking OLD now.

Nominally, yes. But they've dominated politics and culture much longer than that.

He meant that he might vote for the BHO just because he's not a Boomer, so I'd say you're definitely eligible, except that the Constitution says 29-year-old women can't be President.
#16 airforcewife at 2:41 pm on Jan 04, 2008
Aww, aren't you sweet?

Even without my extra twenty ninth birthdays I'm still not old enough to run for president, though. Which makes me feel marginally better. :)

I actually just had an interesting conversation with my bro about the election. For a family that talks about politics in the labor and delivery rooms (yes, we did), we're all very un-excited about this election.

Which makes me wonder if ANYONE aside from the candidates (not to include McCain and Thompson, since they don't seem terribly excited either) are giddy about this election.
#17 evariste at 2:49 pm on Jan 04, 2008
If Thompson was any less excited about the election, he'd be dead.

Heh.

Reminds me of a resume I saw once. At the very top, in thick black marker, it said, "No prison time!"

No, he didn't get an interview.
#21 airforcewife at 4:02 pm on Jan 04, 2008
Well, there goes the main selling point on my next resume.
#22 levi from queens at 4:04 pm on Jan 04, 2008
I once told a friend of mine to put on his resume:
no felony convictions

But you guys are funnier than I can ever hope to be.
#23 cba γβα גבא ابت вба at 4:09 pm on Jan 04, 2008
levi, that wasn't a joke. (It might not have been the exact wording, but it definitely was the sense, and it definitely was in thick black marker at the top of the resume.)

She's quite right. After all the numerous and detailed investigations, she has never been implicated in anything her political enemies have been accusing her of through all of these years.

Laura, I drive 85 mph in a 45 mph zone twice a day almost every day, and yet I've never been pulled over. Does that make me innocent? No, it just means I haven't been caught yet.

But this does remind me of a totally awesome bumper sticker I saw the other day.
