The Cambridge scouts earned some money in an unexpected fundraiser and at first they thought about spending it on trips to Water Country, Six Flags, white water rafting or skiing. But then the discussion turned toward a service project — collecting donations for the troops at the polling sites on Election Day. The adults were somewhat amazed to the fact that these kids were choosing to spend the money on others when they could very easily just go on a fun trip.

But on Election Day, Marsha Weinerman, executive director of the Election Commission, removed the boxes from all the polling stations because one woman, a poll worker who does not deserve to be named, complained it was a political statement.

It is stuff like this that is causing me to regress to my misspent youth....a near overwhelming urge to just sucker punch a whiny liberal is creeping up on me. The overload of political correctness is taking its toll on what'e left of my brain.

Don't offend anyone...what?! How can you possibly have a good day without offending anyone?

It isn't funny anymore...the same people who objected to the Boy Scouts in Cambridge are those fine folks who'd be delighted to have a ballot with only one candidate on it...theirs. What's that sound like to you?

George W. Bush is indeed hated and despised. Bush may not be “self-aware” relative to his narcissistic personality disorder. A lot of mentally ill people are oblivious and/or in denial of their mental illness. But Bush is probably aware that he has psychological problems. Bush may quibble over semantics or interpretations or opinions about whether it would be appropriate or fair to say that he has psychological problems of “clinical significance.”

George W. Bush is gravely mentally ill and needs help.

It is on the Internet: people are “counting the days til Bush leaves office.”

The American people can hardly wait til Bush leaves office. The presidency of Bush has been a nightmare for the American people and for the world. The narcissistic personality disorder of Bush has certainly contributed to what is almost his inability to do anything right.

Andrew - Bush is hated and despised mainly among the supposed intellectuals and other diconnected types in academia, hollywood and other bastions of idiocy.

Most of the rest of us just are disappointed.

Some of us manage.

I will grant you that your thoughtout gracious measured civil style is least offensive. I know I respect it immensely. But...Don't kid yourself that no one is offended however.

Would that I could be more civil. But I can't. No sense trying. Every time I have tried I got sucker punched, either virtually or physically.

I take a perverse pride in my old Hangul nickname amongst both friends and enemies: "Bastard Man."

Why is it that "everyone" is quoted when it comes to GW Bush?

For shit's sake, think for yourself instead of quoting "everyone." Do I have to go all mom on you right now?

If "everyone" jumped off a cliff, would you follow? Friggin' lemming.

[note:particularly as regards to Ramos and Compean, I'm in no way saying that people need to like W because "everyone" else hates him. Just don't quote "everyone" as a rationale for hating him. Act like an adult and give real reasons.]
