In a sense you're correct. It's usually used at bars where a lot of singles mingle. Or at parties and such. Generally the scumbag hits up on the victim maybe buys her a drink and asks her to dance. And in the meantime is lacing her drink with the drug with her unaware. It's not uncommon for the bastard to a partner or two. After the victim has imbibed the drink she becomes drugged it is as if she is intoxicated. She is also very easily controlled. And then she is lead away for their pleasure. The woman only has vague memories if any of what happened.
