Gwen isn't very bright. She's just a Brea girl who always wanted to be a star. Let it also be said that while they were a ska band, No Doubt was a good band. Not Untouchables good, but good.

And that Gwen has a VERY good voice. No telling what her little peabrain will tell her voice to say, but when she is singing, she can really belt.
