ISTANBUL, Turkey - A Turkish court ordered access to YouTube's Web site blocked on Wednesday, after a prosecutor recommended the ban because of videos allegedly insulting the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Heh. Apparently some naughty Greeks -- have your people no shame, zorkie? -- created YouTube videos alleging that, much like Tom Cruise, MKALTC, which is of course an insult to Turkishness.
Throbert, I posted about it yesterday, it's been on the news a couple of days now. I looked at YouTube and didn't find the original Ataturk video posted by "Stavraetos" but I found several videos created by Turks in response to his video about Ataturk. They were not very Greek-friendly, let's say...
