Right before hubby left, I blogged about hubby's "protection". He carries a St. Joan of Arc medallion - patron saint of soldiers and also of my evil blond daughter. So far it's been with him through a tour at the Pentagon five days after 9/11, Iraq, and Afghanistan. It'll travel even further, I'm sure.
I'm tickled pink about the embroidered Star of David.
In hubby's unit in Iraq, he told me they ALL had something special, that reflected their personal beliefs.
And, just for the record, St. CHRISTOPHER is the patron saint of travelers. St. Michael is another patron saint of soldiers generically, paratroopers specifically.
Also, St. Ignacious of Loyola is the patron saint of footsoldiers.
