Kristinn yelled out to her as she was leaving the stage that the Iraqis have a memorial to the victims of terrorism saying “Freedom Isn’t Free.” Cindy got back on the stage to say of course freedom is free, if it wasn’t it would be called "expensivedom".
She probably thought that people are laughing WITH her.

Well, people claim that Fox has some kind of agenda, and that Fox ('Faux') News is part of the Vast RWC, but Fox entertainment has never had a right wing agenda, and for that matter, lets see how 'Fair and Balanced' Fox news stays with Rupert Murdoch openly supporting Hillary Stalin-Clinton for 2008.
Was that a re-run? I thought I'd seen part of a "Homer joins the Army" episode before. The boot camp scene looked familiar, but I didn't recognize the rest of it.
Anyway, although I enjoyed the Looney Tunes parody with the mini-copter drone, the episode was wildly inappropriate for Veteran's Day weekend. (I think both military culture and military policy are fair satirical game for most of the rest of the year, whether I agree with the would-be satirists or not.)
Incidentally, I was in the kitchen at the end of the episode -- so I heard Lisa lecturing the Army officer about occupying foreign armies and lessons we should've learned from Vietnam, and then an air horn.
I guess it's too much to hope for that Lisa took the brunt of the horn-blast...

Most T.V. is so dreadful and/or full of propaganda, I don't see the point of watching it. The plot of "Lost" as lost me, I'm bored by "Law & Order" (which, apparently, runs constantly at least three networks, along with its clones), "Dead like Me"---a series about a dead teenager, how fun! Reality shows. Games shows. Unfunny cartoons. Feh.

I haven't watched network TV regularly in years, it is everything you say, TalkinKamel, and worse. After watching True Crime shows on A&E and Court TV, and hearing what real detectives say and do, fictional dramas like Law & Order and CSI seem clumsy and amateurish.

Further proof, as if any were needed, that St. Cindy, Madonna of the Ditch is a blithering idiot.
Believe me, I keep working on my husband to get rid of the darn thing---Unfortunately, he's addicted to some of the really awful sitcoms, and can't bear to give them up. (Sigh).

Poo. I hit enter before I finished typing "Simpson's, too"
Is this about last night's episode? To Zaphod's horror, after last night and the Halloween episode, I may have to start boycotting Simpson's.
I watched the Simpsons in the very beginning, when it was still part of the Tracey Ullman Show.
I quit watching it when the whole cult grew up around it (sometime in the mid-90s).
To me the optimum lifespan for TV series is 7 years.
Inspiring words from Mama Sheehan:
Frank, I saw that earlier. It made me speechless.

Ooops. Well, just pretend you're watching Family Guy.

Kill your TV!
We cancelled cable about a year ago. No regrets.
