"You will lose the U.N. one way or another."

Please let this be true, please let this be true!

Mr. Malloch Brown said that although the United States was constructively engaged with the United Nations in many areas, the American public was shielded from knowledge of that by Washington's tolerance of what he called "too much unchecked U.N.-bashing and stereotyping."

"Much of the public discourse that reaches the U.S. heartland has been largely abandoned to its loudest detractors such as Rush Limbaugh and Fox News," he said.

Awww, poor UN! Those evil Americans have this nasty little thing called the First Amendment, which gives the stupid little American peasants freedom of speech and freedom of the press. So unlike those enlightened European countries, where hate speech laws allow for the government to decide what is appropriate for people to say. How dare the people think for themselves- look at the consequence, they have a negative opinion of their superiors in the UN! People need to be sheilded from these negative reports about the UN otherwise they might form the wrong opinions. Do people really need to know about corruption, appeasement, and rape?

Without the UN, America would fall apart, just like we did on the Day Without Illegal Immigrants. Remember how horrible that day was for Americans? How will we ever cope without the UN?

*gasp*

How horrible - I hadn't thought about it that way!

So, you basically want the Federal Government to start actively pimping the UN? Here's a thought, you're all adults and not afraid to waste money on silly things, do it you're own damn selves.

Really, this is just amazing.
