In response to the impending recommendation by James "Fuck the Jews" Baker that we go right ahead and, well, fuck the Jews, Shane Briscoe

It's chilling, but you can't deny this is the way the wind is blowing.
It looks like we're in for preemption, all right: preemptive defeat, at our own hands, while we sleepwalk over a cliff. What a fucking shame. Let's all appease as hard as we can and maybe the nice cut-throats will slit our necks last. Israel, the Cedar Revolution, the millions of Iraqis who bravely waved their purple-stained fingers: all these people are expendable, because expediency trumps the tiresome chore of summoning up the will to win. Is this what Bush has come to? I can't say there weren't warnings: a less-than-inspirational "ask not what you can do for your country; ask what your country's malls can do for you" after the 9/11 attacks was a fairly blatant signal of frivolity.
I must say, it's exasperating to watch the erosion of American greatness at the hands of moral and mental midgets. "Lions led by donkeys", as Monash put it. I hope this is all a passing froth, and we're all misunderestimating Bush. It sure doesn't look that way, though, does it? Fool me twice...you can't get fooled again.
