NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has completed a major security exercise.Hizbullah and the Palestinians fully-owned pawns of Iran:
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has overseen an exercise of its Basij paramilitary forces. The exercise was said to have tested the capability of the 1-million member Basij in both border and internal security.
"One million people in the [eastern Azerbaijan] province have been organized in Ashura and Al Zahra battalions to defend the goals of the revolution," Col. Ali Saeedi, a deputy Basij commander, said.
Saeedi, who operates in the eastern Azerbaijan province, said the exercise consisted of three phases. The exercise, which took place in early July, was said to have tested mobilization and security skills.
LONDON [MENL] -- Iran has employed Hizbullah and Palestinian militias to block international efforts for the suspension of its nuclear weapons program.
Western intelligence sources said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent envoys to Palestinian groups based in Syria to discuss their role to maintain Teheran's uranium enrichment program. The sources said Ahmadinejad and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps regard Hizbullah and the Palestinian groups as vital in any effort to engineer a Middle East crisis designed to divert pressure from Teheran.
"Over the last year, Iran has sent tens of millions of dollars to about three groups that have military capabilities and could strike Israel or even Jordan," an intelligence source said. "The groups operate in Lebanon and have been trained and equipped to launch rocket attacks on instruction from Teheran."
On July 12, Iranian chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani met Palestinian militia chiefs in Damascus. Larijani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, was said to have reviewed Iran's efforts to maintain its nuclear weapons program amid increasing Western pressure.

A possibility: they want something from us (cognac to monkeyweather). A nice little triumph for the whole world: the Russians just blew up the Beslan mastermind, paying $600,000 to a mole for the information that led to the operation.
Russian lawmaker Konstantin Kosachev, the Kremlin-linked chairman of the international affairs committee of the lower house of parliament, greeted Tehran's announcement with guarded optimism.
"On the one hand we must hail any readiness by Tehran at least to discuss the proposals of the six nations," he told The Associated Press. "Unfortunately, we have already witnessed such signals in the past, which then were not followed up."
He suspected Iran of "dragging its feet" to avoid unnecessary concessions.
"Iran is playing with fire," he warned. "The international community may one day run out of patience and unfortunately, the point of view of those who call for maybe a tougher stance on Iran may prevail. Iran must clearly understand that."

And all of this talk about Israel targeting civillians really pisses me off. Let me clear it up for you once and for all: Hamas and Hezbollah don't have military bases: they plan, operate and attack from homes, where their families are. The Israelis, in order to retaliate, they have to attack those homes, which always lead to those women and children, who live in those houses, to die. If Hamas and Hezbollah don;t want civillians to die, don;t fuckin plan your attacks or launch your attacks near civillians. But you know they do this on purpose, so it would look bad on the Israeli if they attacked. Dude, they called the airport 1 hour before they hit it to have it evacuated, they warned all of southern Beirut yesterday to take cover because they don't want to kill them. Not hezbollah. Hezbollah doesn't give a shit who their missiles hit. And somehow, they remain blameless in the arab mind: after all, they are not jews. Listen, you can not talk shit about how you will beat and destory Israel, and then scream "Humanatarian crisis" when they hit you back. Either suffer the consequences of your actions or SHUT THE FUCK UP. I am sick and tired of your fuckin POSING!
