Are evangelical Christians really upset by The Da Vinci Code, as this article suggests? Da Vinci Code movie a target for US evangelicals
. Vatican cardinals consider the book blasphemous and have called for a boycott and unspecified legal action to be taken against the book and the film. It's not the first time that a Christian church is upset about a work of fiction, Greek author Nikos Kazantzakis was excommunicated by the Orthodox church for his book, "The Last Temptation of Christ".
I know that no one is going to burn down movie theaters in protest of this film, but I'm wondering why is anyone even making a big deal about this. It is just a movie.
By the way, I read the book and I thought it was just your run-of-the-mill adventure, many others like it in the market. I liked "The Historian" much better.
